Jetzt zeigen wir euch die Toy Reviews zu Transformers Prime Deluxe Rumble, Sargent Kup und Voyager Dreadwing von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys.

Transformers Prime Deluxe Rumble

Wave 5 brings us 2 new characters in the form of Sgt Kup and Rumble. Apart from being blue and having blasters shaped like pile drivers that appears to be where the similarity between Prime Rumble and G1 Rumble finishes and he's all the better for it. Transforming from a quite boring compact car to robot he follows suit with the other Prime deluxe in being a little smaller than we've been used to over the years but it doesn't take away from the fact he is an awesome little figure. He looks the business in robot mode with very little ''kibble'' apart from the two roof halves which sit on his shoulders and in our opinion beef him up, the side panels of the car are cleverly hidden over his shoulder with little rocket launchers molded into the inside giving them a function rather than just having them sit there. His articulation is very good enabling him to strike all kinds of action poses with the only area being a little restricted the shoulders, this is down to the rocket launcher panels tilting forward but its not the end of the world and doesn't do enough to take away from what is a very original and very nice figure.

Overall we score Rumble 9/10 another great entry in whats shaping up to be the best Transformers line in some time.

Transformers Prime Sgt Kup

Ever since Generations Kup has been a Sgt, enjoying his promotion he now decides he must also look like Ironhide which hasn't gone too well with Ironhides agents or Mrs Kup. I'm going to point out the faults first which are the big hinge / bonnet that hangs over his upper back in robot mode and the fact the cannons can be loose when plugged into the forearms, apart from that this guy is fantastic! packed full of articulation his proportions make him not only look great but also capable of an array of poses. There is no doubting he could have done with a remolded head as Kup but just imagine how cool this figure is going to be in red??? Truck mode is small but perfectly formed, the transformation is easy with the only gripe being a gap in the trailer section which you can see through, will kids care about this ? no so its not a problem as far as we can see.

Overall we score Kup 8/10 ( add another point if you prefer him in green )

Hier haben wir die Review zum Perfect Effect PE-12 AFX Assault Force X von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys.

Perfect Effect Assault Force X

Assault Force X is made up of Vanguard, Cannonier and Sniper which all combine to form the deadliest of weapons!..........a camera!! joking aside every TF fan loves a transforming camera for one reason and that's G1 Reflector. Having already seen release as the PE11 Scouting Force X this set is heavily remolded with new heads, chest and paint jobs aping the toy version of G1 Reflector and man does it do a great job. Each figure stands approx 2-1/2 inches tall with a great amount of detail and paint work surpassing that of current official releases. Articulation is good and they are armed to the teeth with the familiar weapons and accessories seen in the previous set.

The transformation is a simple one with each figure folding into a square like the original then the accessories becoming the flash cube, lens, base and stand, individual figure articulation is fantastic with each member capable of a variety of poses and stances via hip, knee, elbow, shoulder, neck, waist and ankle movement making for an immense package of awesome in mini size.

Should you get this ? well if you haven't got the PE-11 I'd say yes, go for it, you won't be annoyed with yourself in the slightest, in fact you might feel a little pleased with yourself, all I would say is consider it a little longer if you own the previous mold as with every repaint and remold you have to ask yourself do I need it twice.

Assault Force X scores stabby 8/10
Unser Sponsor Kapow Toys hat eine Review zum Transformers Prime AM20 Arms Micron Ironhide gemacht.

Transformers AM20 Ironhide

Its still a weird one that this guy got released in green as Sgt Kup here in the UK and US but Takara have sorted it with this rather fetching red repaint. Reaction to Kup was mixed with some people flat out not liking him , I was one of the people quite taken with him though so this review will have a positive spin apart from one thing, that darn bonnet that hangs off his back in robot mode like a shelf, why ? I no understand zis ? anyway easily remedied by clipping it off and snapping it back into place in reverse just like in the picture.

The robot mode does have its issues such as shoulder pads which can slightly get in the way of shoulder movement and no waist swivel, this aside he is quite articulated and is capable of a lot of poses which is what you want from an action figure. His Micron is quite nifty is slightly simple in cannon mode, he reminds me of a builder with his little hard hat style head and claws. Mounting the Micron to Ironides arm suffers the same problems as Kups blaster in that its a slightly loose fit, hand held however is not a problem. His colours are nice and really pop when combined with the stickers, my only gripe is the blue could have stood out a bit more on the chest like in the official promo images.

Overall its a nice figure, not the best but far away from being the worst.

Ironhide scores 7/10 ( he straight up loses 1 point for that bonnet )
Unser Sponsor Kapow Toys hat eine Review zum iGear MW-03 Hench gemacht.

iGear MW-03 Hench

Being a big Brawn fan this interested me from the very first teaser image so getting it in hand I had a lot of expectation which has been met. When iGear announced the price and size increase on the Mini Warriors fan reaction was mixed, some people were unhappy whilst others were open minded and welcomed it, for me its a good thing, Hench feels solid and chunky in both robot and vehicle mode and worth the money, sure its more than double the cost of a domestic deluxe but its an independent production so half expected.

The overall quality of Hench is very good, the build is strong and the plastic feels very durable, you feel you could actually give this to a child and it would survive intact without any damage. The majority of the joints are on a ball which gives him a good level of poseability, they also pop off if too much pressure is applied when transforming to prevent damage. As a bonus the head can rotate revealing a G1 style face ( not pictured ).

If I had any gripes at all it would be he can become slightly unbalanced when standing and that the head is awkward to rotate but that nitpicking, its an amazing rendition of a character who along with Ironhide and Ratchet has gone sorely unloved on the toy front over the years.

Well worth of a purchase - 8.5/10

You can buy Hench from site sponsor Kapow Toys here - iGear MW-03 Hench - Kapow Toys
Hier kommt die Review zum TFC Toys Photron von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys.

TFC Toys Photron

Its always nice when you get a toy that your not expecting a lot from and it surprises you, I'd heard mediocre things about Photron but am glad to say its a good set of figures with some nice touches, sure its got a few flaws but they are outweighed by the good. First up its super solid construction, the quality of the plastic is excellent and dare I say it outshines a few of the recent official releases from the West. Individual figure wise the two smaller guys Hi-Reso and AE lock are just a little taller than scout class with the big guy Optic Zoom being a little taller than a deluxe, he is also extremely chunky and feels quality in hand.
Articulation wise Hi-Reso and AE Lock are great, there isn't much you can't do with them thanks to ball joints nearly everywhere and waist swivels, Optic Zoom is also very articulated but suffers somewhat from being a little back heavy thanks to the kibble created by the folded up flaps and his shoulders could have done with being on a ball joint rather than hinge and swivel, that aside he is still very good and a lot better than expected.
Camera mode is superb, I walked round with it in hand today at the warehouse and one person assumed I had an actual camera with the other having to think about it, the lens is a lot of fun in that it un-clips either side then extending to create the illusion of a zoom, the lens also glows thanks to a little on / off switch uncovered when the lens is extended.
I like to get to the point during reviews and hope I have with this one, the aesthetic isn't going to be for everyone as making the connection with Reflector is difficult, there is also the back kibble on Optic Zoom which will present as a problem for some fans however if you simply like transforming toys then Photron is well worth picking up, the set has a lot to offer.
Overall he scores 7.5/10

If your in the UK and Europe you can pick up Photron now from Kapow Toys
Hier kommt die Review von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys zum Toyworld TW-T01 Grind Rod.

Toyworld TW-T01

I love Throttlebots, just not the toys that we got in the 80's, I always felt they utterly sucked compared to the amazing designs I was seeing in the Marvel UK comic and the cartoon so when I first saw this guy I got quite excited and he does not let the side down. Toyworld crashed on to the scene with Hegemon, a figure many were unsure of but in the end turned out to be really quite awesome and one of the best G1 style Megatron figures we've had so how does Grind Rod hold up ? very well in all honesty, the build quality is better with a fantastic grade of plastic being used and super tight joints all over, it feels solid in hand and above all professional. The outer packaging itself is great, really looking the part with a display window and lots of superb graphics including a teaser for the second release Aurora.

Grind Rod comes in jeep mode and free wheels across any surface without problems, the panels all line up and stay tight throughout any handling, upon changing to robot mode you find just how well made he is with nice tight ball joints and panels easily clicking out and into place. As a figure he is very good looking and capable of a lot of movement including that all important but often missed out waist swivel. If there is a criticism its that the gun could have done with a longer handle to prevent a small clearance issue with the forearm panels however its a minor complaint which takes nothing away from a figure which will slot in with your Classics collection putting some of the official efforts to shame.

Keep it up Toyworld this is great stuff!

We score Grind Rod 8/10 - add an extra point if your a Throttlebot fan.

Great review and pretty much stated what was expected from Grind Rod

Toyworld indeed did great with Hegemon and personally i´m pretty excited seeing more about the roumored Combiner Mode for the Throttle Bots.
Hier kommt eine Review von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys zum X-Transbots Glider Red Version.

Kapow Toys Reviews X-Transbots Glider

I love Powerglide, not necessarily the toy but the grumpy guy from the 80's cartoon with ''The Girl Who Loved Powerglide'' being one of my fave episodes of all time ( go on, rib me for it ) so this figure interested me greatly. The Universe / Classics version didn't do it for me with the original being too big and slightly rubbish so I've been looking for something to fill the gap, for £30 this does the job and does it quite well.
Feeling far more solid than i imagined in hand the first thing you notice is the thickness of the plastic, compared to recent mainstream releases of the same size this guy feels solid and weighty, the plane mode also holds together well, again far better than I expected. Upon transforming you are met with a middle of the road process, you pull the wings outward and along with the tail fins they split off from the main body on hinges then fold upwards, the lower legs are quite nifty so I won't ruin it for anyone with a description. Nice touches include being able to store his gun in the chest cavity whilst in plane mode and a raised heart imprinted inside the same cavity for when he is in robot mode.
Whilst a robot Powerglide once again fits together far tighter than I expected, he's not perfect but good enough for me, he has some nice articulation in the arms with shoulder and elbow swivels, his ankles also have ball joints allowing some good poses, I would have liked some more movement in the hip joint which is hindered in its outward movement but I'm guessing this is so he stays together in jet mode. As you can see from the images he is well balanced, enough so that he can stand on one leg unaided, weapon wise he comes with his main animation style pistol along with a large pistol and a knife. Due to the design of the hands only the animation style pistol and knife are a good fit, the large pistol tends to slip out but its a minor gripe when you have the choice of 3 weapons and easily remedied with a touch of clear nail polish.
Overall this exceeded my expectations which were not high and has turned out to be one of the most fun figures I've played with this month, its not perfect but will fill that Powerglide sized gap in your collection without a problem and is probably the best rendition of the character currently available.
Unser Sponsor Kapow Toys hat neue Reviews online gestellt.

Dieses Mal handelt es sich um drei Fall of Cybertron Figuren :

Ultra Magnus
Sideswipe und
Starscream.

Die wollten wir Euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten.

focmagnus2focswipe14focss10

Quelle Ultra Magnus :FullMetalHero.com
Quelle Sideswipe :FullMetalHero.com
Quelle Starscream :FullMetalHero.com

Fall of Cybertron Ultra Magnus

First off sorry for the pics, we've yet to get a good dark back drop so some of these are quite washed out, on to the figure! Ultra Magnus is a repaint of the Wave 1 Deluxe Optimus Prime figure and comes with an additional weapon in the form a 3 piece sword which can be held in hand or connected to the existing gun to form a gun blade style weapon which is huge!

There isn't much new about the figure itself apart from a new head and paint job which seems to work really well in depicting Magnus, he just looks the part with the way the sections separate between blue and white with my only complaint being the white is extremely bright and can look a little cheap. The articulation and transformation are really nice making him capable of a range of poses. The sword can also be carried on his back making him look extra cool whilst holding his rifle and mounted on the side of him whilst in vehicle mode so he can joust with the Knights of Cybertron ???

For a repaint Magnus is pretty darn good so we're scoring him 8/10

focmagnus1 focmagnus2 focmagnus3 focmagnus4 focmagnus5 focmagnus6 focmagnus7 focmagnus8 focmagnus9 focmagnus10 focmagnus11 focmagnus12 focmagnus13 focmagnus14 focmagnus15

Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron Sideswipe

Sideswipe is the repaint of Wave 1 Jazz and appears to knock spots off his predecessor. Coming with a remolded head, bonnet and uber massive gun Sideswipe is fun to play with if simple to transform. The new paint job seems to add the detail missing from poor Jazz who was just too bland due to all the white plastic. His new head is also more in proportion and a very good representation of the G1 fave.

Articulation wise Sideswipe is adequate, he his arms are good with a nice range of motion, the legs are okay being limited by the way they are molded so as to tuck away in car mode, he also lacks a waist swivel. The weapon is a welcome addition to the figure and as already stated huge, it doesn't do much other than have the barrel extend and retract with a tug or a push, it can be mounted on his sides in vehicle mode or be hand or forearm mounted in robot mode.

A nice repaint of a previously poor figure that scores 7/10

Kapow Toys Reviews Transformers Fall Of Cybertron Starscream

Starscream has arrived and he is pretty darn good! I'm not a fan of the original Classics Seeker hating the way the wings had to fold down every time you wanted to pose the arms in fashion. This guy is a good size with chunky solid joints and a nice aesthetic bringing the game character to life in accurate fashion.

Jet mode is quite a simple deal but does the job well, the gattling guns can be mounted underneath the wing giving him a mass of fire power, they even have rotating barrels. In robot mode you get some really nice articulated arms and legs but he is sadly missing a waist swivel. The guns can either be hand held or mounted on the rear of the forearm, they can also be combined to form a massive dual cannon which can be held simultaneously in both hands, they do look a little bland when split in half due to the molded inside section but its a minor gripe.

Starscream fits in with the FOC line extremely well and could even make the jump to your Classics / Generations collection as IDW Starscream ( if your not a stickler for accuracy that is )

Overall we score this newest rendition of a fan fave 9/10 awesome sauce.

Fall of Cybertron Fireflight

The Wave 3 repaint of Shockwave comes with a brand new chest, colours, weapons and head. Having had a name change to Air Raid along the way this guy seems to make a much better usage of the cybertronian ship alt mode than Shockwave did who suffered from complaints he was too small, Air Raid however does not share this fate as there is nothing to measure him against other than than the existing G1 toy which is tiny.
Most of you will know what to expect of the articulation on this guy, it does the job and does it well, only gripe is no waist swivel. Weapon wise he comes with a modification of Shockwaves 3 pronged cannon minus a prong this forms the base of the huge sword if you can be bothered to make it out of all 3 sections, we tried but in total honesty it didn't stay together well and looked kind of pants, they do however all stand on their own very well, the small sword being of particular awesomeness. You can mount the gun on Air Raids arms with the fist introverted or simply in his hand, the swords can be hand held only. Both the gun and large sword can be stored on Air Raids back.
Overall this is a good use of an existing mold, the weapons, head and chest have changed it enough to warrant a purchase for hardcore fans or those who do not own Shockwave, we score Air Raid - 8/10

Fall Of Cybertron Kickback

Now this guy is definitely the star of the show along with Starscream. The only other brand new mold in Wave 3 is one of the Dinobots main foes from the FOC video game. He comes with a massive weapon in the form of an energon crossbow which which shoots the disc via a grey switch on top, the purple blades can be detached to become either handheld blades or part of Kickbacks alt mode.
Articulation is very good, the arms have a lot of swivel and ball joints in them and the legs the same, he has no waist swivel but does have ball jointed ankles allowing a lot of cool stances. The panels on his chest and shoulders can get in the way if I'm honest but its not enough to annoy, his forearms can be slid up or down to form blades and as you can see from the pics he looks really good either way.
Alt mode was looking a but bland from the stock images but once in hand its actually really big and hold together well, he even has a bug shell formed by the arms which I myself wasn't aware of before having it in hand.
Kickback is nice addition to the line, he does look like he belongs in the Prime universe slightly more than the FOC one but thats not a bad thing.
Overall Kickback scores 9/10
Transformers Arms Micron Nemesis Prime

nem15 nem1 nem2 nem3 nem4 nem5 nem6 nem7 nem8 nem9 nem10 nem11 nem12 nem13 nem14

An underrated figure gets even better with a new black deco and massive Arms Micron blade! Powerizer Optimus didn't set the world alight due to a number of things, 1) Megatron looked better 2) The First Edition kicked butt 3) He had that hideous weapon and loads of horrible grey visible on him, but he was still a good toy that a lot of folks missed out on, hopefully this will rectify things with Nemesis reaching a wider audience. Coming with the obligatory sticker sheet Nemesis is primarily black and dark charcoal grey with the chest being broken up via the red windows and light grey border. It works very well, so well that you may chose not to apply your stickers, I prefer them applied as they add a little more detail and help bring out the red on his forearms more.

Articulation wise Nemesis is very capable with lots of ball joints allowing him to twist and turn into a variety of poses, he is also very well balanced which might come a surprise due to the large back pack made up of the trucks side panels. The Micron is makes a very cool weapon but not such a cool Micron looking a little like a pelican in its robot mode but I'm not displaying him that way and the blade mode is pure win!

Truck mode again can either have stickers on or off and it looks great, I've taken some pics with and without so you can check it out and make your mind up. I personally like the stickers on as it gives it that higher level of detail and contrasts well with the black, a really nice touch by Takara is the inclusion of 5 M.E.C.H stickers which you can place on Nemesis to your hearts content giving him that nice link to the TV show.

Overall he is a repaint so automatically becomes less desirable for some but he is Nemesis Prime, a character thats always been popular, we score him 8/10
Hier ist die Review von unserem Sponsor Quelle: Kapow Toys zum Transformers Prime Dark Energon Wheeljack.

Dark Energon Deluxe Wheeljack

If you want a Slicer for your collection then this is your guy, its already a really cool mold which I own as Wheeljack and Deadend, did I hesitate on a 3rd ? yeah I did, I wasn't sure about these guys until they were in hand, what swung it was the fact they are not all translucent, its mostly the arms and lower legs, everything else is pretty much regular solid plastic.
Not going over old ground too much this guy has great articulation and swords so there are 2 good points straight away, his 3rd and best point is the new colours, they really do pop especially the red eyes set against a burnt orange / gold mouth plate. Car mode is nice and sleek and fits together very well without any apparent problems. If your not a repaint fan then consider this for your classics collection, I know Botcon did Slicer but that figure is a brick, this guy is sleek and sexy with turbo handling!
Overall we score Dark Energon Wheeljack a mighty 8/10
Hier kommt die Review zum Transformers AM-29 Arms Micron Shockwave von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys

Transformers Arms Micron AM-29 Shockwave

Now this is a strange one, Takara kick off their own Generations line this very month with TG-01 & 02 FOC Optimus and Jazz yet Shockers got rammed in the Arms Micron line which has left him somewhat overlooked. Coming in a lighter shade of purple than his Hasbro compatriot he appears closer to the cartoon Shockwave which will please a lot of people. Size wise he's definitely not any bigger ( just kidding ) and suffers from some quite thin legs, I however think it works and is a very nice representation of whats seen on screen in the video game. He has a bundle of articulation in the arms and legs, the head swivels but sadly there is no waist swivel which in these days of cutting costs is understandable on a deluxe class figure. The micron is neatly put together but has a very strange alt mode, it does come across as a gun with bug legs, it is also not capable of snapping onto Shockwaves arms and entirely concealing the fist so must always be hand mounted which is a little bit of a letdown but not the end of the world.

Alt mode is improved by the bulkier Micron figure in that it helps the ship hold together very tightly, you also get some nice battle damage stickers to plaster over the bulkhead making him look nice and worn. The style of the alt mode is fully Cybertronian appearing to be a cross between a flying cannon / ship, I personally like it but know some people don't having hoped for a full on space gun.

To conclude, FOC Shockwave has been a paint to find and when people do its usually at a premium but still cheaper than this version, does a Micron add enough value to warrant a purchase ? probably not so this will only be for you if you fancy completing your AM collection, like the lighter shade of purple or just flat out cannot find the FOC version.

Overall we score Shockwave 7.5/10
Hier kommen die Reviews von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys zu den Takara Tomy TG-01 Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Optimus Prime und TG-02 Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Jazz.

Transformers Fall of Cybertron TG-01 Optimus Prime

Once again Takara Tomy trump their counterpart in every dimension with the 1st release in their TG series, Optimus Prime! looking a lot more like the game character the figure is exactly the same build wise but where the finish is concerned he is a cut above. Featuring nice thick shiny paint applications the red detail really helps bring out the molded detail on the torso with the head appearing far more vibrant. The thighs are molded in a darker grey which leads into the lower legs which aren't painted but feature a slightly lighter more animated style blue with the purple energy detail being applied in small measure.

Articulation wise most of us now know this figure is pretty awesome but a little on the small side with the same weapon in the form of his black blaster. Is it worth the import pricing ? no, not if you have the figure already unless that is your unhappy with its lack of detail then I would say go for it.

Overall I would score TG01 a mighty 8.5/10 but if you already own the Hasbro version deduct another point due to value for money.

Transformers TG-02 Fall Of Cybertron Jazz

The 2nd release in Takara's TG Fall of Cybertron series and once again it beats out the Hasbro version hands down. Molded in a light grey plastic instead of white Jazz immediately looks better value for money, the bright white of the Hasbro release has had many complaints that it makes the figure feel cheap and nasty. Paint apps are minimal for Jazz with but what is applied is applied very well, the new blue visor really makes his head standout and the purple energy detailing added to the body also compliments and brings out all the detail molded into the figure.

Articulation wise Jazz is not as good as Optimus with no waist swivel and limited leg movement due to the static angled ankle joints, he does however come with the neat transformation which although simplistic is quite fun. The name Jazz would normally imply an essential purchase but sadly in this case not so much, its a much, much nicer figure than the Hasbro version but still suffers from slightly below par design.

Jazz score 7.5 / 10
Hier kommt die Review von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys zu Fall of Cybertron Data Discs Ratbat & Frenzy und Rumble & Ravage.

Kapow Toys Reviews FOC Decepticon Data Discs

These are toys, purely toys for one very important reason, they have come to earth disguised as Bakugan! for those of you not familiar with Bakugan they transform when dropped on a hard surface and that's exactly what these guys do. Coming extremely well presented each figure has its own data case which has a hollow centre allowing you to push out the disc onto said hard surface thus watching it transform. My personal faves are Ravage and Ratbat as the idea / gimmick seems to suit animals better, its nice having Rumble and Frenzy but its only the arms that move.

Not essential on their own but if you have the Voyager Soundwave or Soundblaster then you have another added dimension of fun, each Voyager can hold 3 discs in their chest and with the back lever you can push them out one by one again watching them transform as they go.

Overall we score the Decepticon Data Discs 8/10 purely based on the fun factor and reviewing purely from a toy point of view.
Hier kommt die Review von unserem Sponsor Kapow Toys zum SXS A02 Cold Weapons Set für den Optimus Prime.

SXS-A02 Cold Weapons For Op

Similar to the Corbot V War Axe the Cold Weapons for Op feature a sword and shield combo made from really sturdy and durable abs plastic. The set comes in either red or blue with the blue being the more limited of the sets.

Upon opening the clam shell pack your greeted with what is surprisingly a very large sword and shield along with a tiny grey adapter section which is required if your plugging the shield into the forearm of War for Cybertron Optimus Prime. Installing the sword is very easy, the handle simply pops off and is then slotted inside the closed fist, the blade then simply clicks in place on top. The shield is even easier plugging into the hole on the forearm of either WFC or FOC Optimus & Magnus.

With both in place you can create a large number of poses with both accessories staying tightly in place, my favourite figure to display them with was def the Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime and from the pictures you can see just what an awesome if tiny action figure he really is.

Overall I would recommend the set, it is a tad pricey and could really do with being a little cheaper however if you consider the War Axe was around the £16 - £20 mark you can maybe justify it seeing as you get 2 components but that's entirely going to depend on the buyer and how far up your wants list the set comes.

We score the SXS A-02 a meaty 8/10
